Models meet living systems. We examine what was predicted, what was tested, and what remains uncertain—from protein structures to medical AI.

Read the evidence, not just the label
Different questions. Different evidence.
Computational prediction or benchmark evaluation
What does a model predict, and how is performance assessed on the specified data or task?
Laboratory / experimental validation
What was measured in a physical or biological system, under which conditions?
Clinical evaluation and patient outcomes
What was evaluated in a clinical setting, for whom, and were patient outcomes actually measured?
One evidence type does not automatically establish the others. The relevant checks depend on the research question; these are not steps on a universal validation ladder.
A published PubMeta brief is an editorial record, not independent scientific validation. Prototype analysis is a demonstration, not a published review. Landmark references point to primary sources. Source-review status and article limitations remain attached to each entry; neither a title nor “peer reviewed” establishes laboratory or clinical validation.

Protein structure and design
How are structures or new sequences proposed, and what tests connect those predictions to folding, function, or interactions?
Prototype / demo analysis

Boundary: Benchmark performance does not remove uncertainty for every protein, complex, ligand state, or dynamic conformation.
